How to Reduce the Risk of 性侵犯

1. When you go to a party, go with a group of friends.
2. Arrive together, watch out 为 each other, and leave together.
3. Don't leave your beverage unattended or accept a drink from an open container.
4. Don't allow yourself to be isolated with someone you don't know or trust.
5. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. Trust your instincts.
6. Think about the level of intimacy you want in a relationship, and clearly state your limits.

What Should You Do if You Are Sexually Assaulted?

• Get to a safe place
• Get medical attention immediately
• Do not change your clothes
• Do not bathe or douche
• Do not brush your teeth or use mouthwash
• Do not eat or drink anything
• Do not apply medication
• Do not clean up the crime scene
• Report the incident to the Police

Safety in Numbers and Escorts

When studying late or leaving evening classes it is a good idea to walk with friends and classmates. T在这里 is always more safety in groups than a single person walking at night alone. If you feel uncom为table and would like an escort to your vehicle or dorm room please feel free to contact your faculty member, the Campus Director or, 在埃尔, the Security Department.

性侵犯 Policy

Great Basin College has a zero 宽容 policy 为 any type of assault including sexual assault.

Anyone who believes they may be a victim of assault should contact the Police Department by calling 911 first. They should then contact Security or the Campus Director to respond to their location on 校园. The Director of Safety & Security and the Vice President 为 Academic and Student Affairs, 第九条 Coordinator must be notified either by notification of Security by the Campus Director or directly by the victim.
